The Show:

A session with more energy than a toddler after a bag of skittles. Hear comic poems, learn to rhyme with anything (including orange), write tricky tongue twisters, and use simile and metaphor to transform the world around you. All without needing a pencil.

About Andy:

Andy Craven-Griffiths is a writer and performer based in Leeds. He has performed poetry across the UK and abroad. He has also had work published in various poetry journals, broadcast (Radio 1, Radio 4, BBC 2), and commissioned by the Arts Council and Rethink mental health charity. In 2016 Andy was one of Radio 3’s Verb New Voices and made work for Oxford University Press as an animator. He has run poetry workshops for over 30,000 young people, and has a chapter in the Bloomsbury book Making Poetry Happen. Andy is currently working on his first full length play to be produced, Joygernaut. It is a one-person interactive play about kindness, and will tour in 2018 – 2019. He is studying part-time for a PhD in creative writing.

As vocalist with his band Middleman, Andy has toured everywhere from Reading Festival to SXSW, Texas, and has played live sessions for Radio 1, 6 Music, and XFM. Middleman’s music has also been widely synchronized (NBA2K11, Channel 4, Channel 5).


Andy is currently working on his first full length play Joygernaut.
