The Show: 

The Alternative 3 Rs - Rhyme, Rhythm & Rap.
An inspiring, funny & magical session of poetry & percussion for children and for the child inside every adult. Brian will be performing such classics as "Walking With My Iguana' 'The Ssssssnake Hotel' and 'The Budgie Likes to Boogie'. He accompanies many of his poems with percussion which underlines the rhythms of the poems and adds atmospherics. It is an exhilarating, interactive experience with poetry that touches every emotion.

About Brian:

Brian Moses has been a professional children's poet since 1988. To date he has over 200 books published including volumes of his own poetry such as The Budgie Likes to Boogie (Caboodle Books) and Lost Magic: The Very Best of Brian Moses ( Macmillan), anthologies such as The Secret Lives of Teachers and Aliens Stole My Underpants (both Macmillan) and picture books such as Trouble at the Dinosaur Cafe (Puffin) and Dreamer. Over 1 million copies of Brian's poetry books have been sold by Macmillan. 

Brian also runs writing workshops and performs his own poetry and percussion shows. To date he has given over 3000 performances in schools, libraries, theatres and at festivals throughout the UK and abroad. In his poetry and percussion show, The Alternative 3Rs - Rap, Rhythm & Rhyme he uses a variety of percussion instruments to both underpin the rhythm of his words and to add atmosphere. Listen to his definitive version of Walking With My Iguana - the most listened to poem on the Poetry Archive for much of the last year. He is also founder & co-director of a national scheme for able writers administered by Authors Abroad.

Recent books include Python - his first children's novel, The Waggiest Tails: Dog Poems written with Roger Stevens, and a 'Best of' of his poems for younger children - I Thought I Heard a Tree Sneeze (Troika Books).
