Kathryn Evans is an award winning author and accomplished public speaker. Fun and revealing, her talks leave audiences inspired and energised. What does she know about failing all her exams? Where did she get that terrible hair cut? And what do you know about weird science? These questions and more will be answered in Kathryn’s talk. Don’t believe us….? An endlessly bored deputy head actually stayed awake for the whole of one of her school visits and said “Wow! She blew me away!”
Kathryn Evans combines being an author with being a mum, running a strawberry farm, volunteering as co regional-advisor for for SCBWI, occasionally performing belly dance and fencing competitively.
Kathryn’s debut novel More of Me was nominated for the 2017 Carnegie Medal, won the SCBWI Crystal Kite Award for UK and Ireland 2017 and the 2016 Edinburgh International Book Festival First Book Award – the first YA novel ever to do so.
She has a firm following of young readers, has been shortlisted for multiple regional awards and More of Me has been sold to territories world wide – including Poland, the USA, Germany, Korea, Russia, Hungary and Turkey.
